Google giving me the blues!

Ok, here's the deal. I run JakesJokes.com, which only happens to be the largest collection of jokes on the web, and Google simply will not list me in the top 1000 for my obvious keyword, "jokes".

Now before you chalk this up to inexperience, let me give you a little background. Ihave several other websites, all of which have multiple #1 rankings on Google, and pretty much all of my "main" keywords are in the top 10, or at least in the first couple of results pages.

The point is that I'm good at what I do. Really good. But when it comes to JakesJokes.com, I just don't know what's going on as far as Google is concerned.
  • It's the largest joke site in the world, so that's got to count for SOMETHING.
  • I'm linked to by large mainstream sites (including other sites that DO rank well for jokes on Google).
  • Every joke page (thousands and thousands of them) has different meta tags appropriate to that page.
  • I've got a PR4 on the main page. Ok, it's not a PR6, but still, it beats the numerous PR2 sites that do rank well on Google for the keyword "jokes".
  • I've got a Google Sitemap ("sitemap of sitemaps" method due to the size) in place that is properly designed and lists every single joke page. Google has crawled it, and re-crawls it regularly, like every day or two.

At this point, I'm open to guesses about what the hell is going on. I've got PageRank, and I've got the keywords (in an appropriate density, mind you), and Google absolutlely will not recognize me for my main (most competitive) keyword.

The only thing I can come up with is this... JakesJokes.com is physically located at dvdhelp.us/jokes (an add-on domain to where I'm doing the hosting for DVDHelp.us), and Google is picking up some searches as duplicate entries. However, as they do not answer emails about this sort of thing (they probably get a million a day), I don't know how to proceed.
